BIOGRAPHY

Hongbo Cao is the Senior Technology Manager at GE Vernova’s Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, New York, where he leads the Materials Chemistry and Physics team. Since joining GE Research in 2009, he has advanced materials discovery and process development across several technologies and industries.

Hongbo’s work spans solid oxide fuel cells, carbon capture, battery energy storage, high-temperature materials, and thin-film photovoltaics. He is also an active contributor to scientific research, holding multiple patents and publishing widely across leading materials science journals.
