BIOGRAPHY

Andrew Burke has dedicated his career since 1974 to electric and hybrid vehicle design, analysis, and testing. From 1988 to 1994, he served as a principal program specialist at INEL, focusing on electric and hybrid vehicle programs, including battery and vehicle modeling and testing.

Joining the Research Faculty of the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis in 1994, he has conducted extensive research and taught graduate courses on advanced electric driveline technologies. Andrew’s expertise spans batteries, ultracapacitors, fuel cells, and hybrid vehicle design, control, and simulation, reflected in over 200 authored reports and papers.
